CsC4Gal - on-board Cs-clock proposal
In the frame of the Call for Ideas “H2020-ESA-038 GNSS Evolutions Experimental Payloads and Science Activities”, the activity targets the design and the development of a high level architecture for an on-board clock based on optically-pumped Cs thermal beam technology developed for an existing product for ground applications. Within this activity, the most critical required items shall be indenfitied.
This solution is justified by the high maturity of the technology, as well as its benefit for long-term stability.
