Proposal for Galileo Second Generation - Mercury Ion Clock
In the frame of the Call for Ideas “H2020-ESA-038 GNSS Evolutions Experimental Payloads and Science Activities”, the activity targets the design and the development of a high level architecture for an on-board clock based on a mercury ion trap technology, which has inherently very low magnetic and thermal sensitivities. Within this activity, the most critical required items shall be indenfitied.
Initial demonstrations are available by the company from on-going pre-developments together with reference to the DSAC clock considered for GPS and just launched on a NASA experimental satellite.
