GNSS Reference Station Environment Monitoring Unit

The RF environment in which GNSS Sensor Stations (EGNOS and Galileo) operate is dynamic and increasingly harsh due to co-existence with other RF systems. Frequenty, the operational environment specifications against which the design has been verified are not sufficiently representative of the actual environment that the equipment will face once deployed due to its complexity. Multiple combinations of RF environment propagation effects like interference, multipath or ionosphere scintillation can compromise the sensor station performance on site.

The GNSS Reference Station Environment Monitoring Unit will be designed as a multi-function engineering tool capable of supporting different operational configurations, namely RF surveying, environment modelling and monitoring, and impact assessment of site cleaning solutions.
