GNSS Ground Reference Station Transversal Technologies Framework

GNSS Ground Reference Station Transversal Technologies Framework

The GNSS Ground Reference Station Transversal Technologies Framework implements activities for the development of technology for future Ground Reference Stations for Galileo 2nd Generation / EGNOS evolutions, aiming at increased performance and robustness against interference, spoofing and environmental conditions (e.g. multipath and ionosphere scintillations).

Future reference stations for Galileo and EGNOS will require to handle increased performance against interference and environmental conditions. In particular, technologies shall address robustness to jamming and spoofing at antenna and RF level.

The main objective of this Work Order is to design, develop, verify (in laboratory) and validate (in a representative real radio-frequency environment) a prototype ranging station for GNSS navigation signals, providing improved performances and robustness during interference, spoofing and/or degraded environmental conditions. A candidate architecture shall be identified and a prototype shall be designed, developed and verified, based on a multi-constellation, multi-frequency GNSS receiver, exploiting beamforming technology and operating with a CRPA.
